Information For Prospective Members

Background

The AMVA has been in existence since 1930.  It is the body recognised by all sectors of the Dairy Industry and all levels of Government as the peak representative body for Milk Vendors and Dairy Distributors.  It is a non-profit association run by an honorary Council of active Vendors and Distributors.

Membership

Membership is open to persons who have a proprietary interest in a milk vending business.  Subscription rate as at 1 July 2010 is $743.60 pa (includes GST). 

Our Aims

 The AMVA exists to protect the rights and advance the interests of its members.  Our main activities include:

  • The protection of our members interests in contract negotiations with processors. 
  • Fighting arbitrary action by any industry sector.
  • Providing advice and assistance on industry matters.

Additional Services

Financial members are able to secure National Fleet Owner discounts on several makes of Toyota cars and Hino trucks.

By special arrangement, we are able to secure discounted premiums on insurance for our members.

Applications

Because of the requirements of the Associations Incorporation Act, all applications for membership must be made on an approved form.  In completing the form, please fill in as many details as possible and be sure to sign it in the space provided.  If no proposer is available, leave this space blank and we will arrange to have it completed.
